Recycling Program

Rahway prides itself on having a proactive, comprehensive recycling program that makes it easy for our community to participate. As solid waste disposal costs continue to rise, recycling is taking on added importance. By recycling the items listed in the schedule attached and preparing these items properly, you can help reduce our costs for solid waste disposal, help preserve our environment, improve quality of life and save tax dollars.

To make recycling easy, Rahway residents and businesses are allowed to commingle all paper products including:

• Books
• Magazines
• Junk mail
• Cardboard
• Newspaper
• Other paper products into one container.

Bottles, cans, and plastic containers can be commingled together in a separate container from paper goods.
