Mayor Raymond Giacobbe and the Rahway City Council would like to remind all residents that COVID-19 vaccinations are available every Thursday from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Rahway Senior Center, located at 1306 Esterbrook Avenue. To date, more than 7,500 Rahway residents have been vaccinated.

Our Covid-19 Clinic is currently providing first doses and second doses of Moderna vaccine for everyone 18 and over as well as the booster doses for those who qualify.

Practices such as hand washing, social distancing, and wearing masks when social distancing is not possible have all helped in our fight against the virus. However, vaccination is the key to ultimately defeating the disease.

Total numbers are provided by the local health department. If the public does not comply with contact tracers or the local health departments making their inquiries, the City is unable to know what happens after a case is confirmed, nor do we know how many tests are administered or how many tests are negative.

If you suspect you have COVID-19 symptoms,  there is an online self-assessment tool, developed by the State of New Jersey, that will help you determine whether or not you should be tested. You can access that self-assessment tool here. If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, including fever, coughing and difficulty breathing, please call your primary care physician before going anywhere and follow the physician’s advice.
